The Infrared Whelping Kit [275 watts] is a better way to keep the newborn pups at the optimum temperature.  When you spend so much time and money in to breeding stock to produce great quality healthy puppies, you first need to keep them alive and healthy with therapeudic heat from far-infrared heating panels.

Puppies have been living in a temperature of 101*F which is pretty warm by human standards. Immediately after birth puppies are unable to control their own body temperature and are dependent upon external warmth. Ideally the whelping box should be around 85* to 90*F during the first few days.

The Infrared panel is light weight aluminum with a powder coated finish which makes it easy to clean. There are mounting brackets on the back which make it easy to mount, or to suspend by chains. The Infrared frequency is in the Far-Infrared range and uses only safe and known healthy ”invisible light” at wavelengths in the 7,500 to 10,000 nm (7.5 to 10 micrometer); this region in the spectrum is also called “Far or Therapeutic Infrared”.

The kit contains one 275 watt Infrared heat panel 20” x 20” x 1.5” with a 5ft cord, one 15 amp plug- in rheostat, and an Infrared Heat gun. The rheostat is to regulate the temperature of the whelping bed and puppies; the temp gun is to be able to monitor the environment of the puppies sleeping area, and building.

Efficiency of the whelping panel is also energy savings and longevity. The 275 watt panels use only 2.3 amps to operate @ 120 volts DC. It has a life expectancy of 20+ years, and comes with a 5 year limited warranty.

Recommend suspending whelping panel at 4 ft above the whelping bed for comfort and adjust either rheostat or height to regulate temp for your environment. Panel can be hung by cables or chains, mounted on solid surface or from a [pvc] frame.
