Calves in pens with metal grates underneath can also benefit from Hanging Infrared Heat Panels above their pens. Whether straw, shavings or grates under calf, the infrared will warm their body mass. Infrared is body penetrating heat. Here is a sample of a calf barn with 4x8 pens and how panels would be placed for optimum comfort. We are using 550 watt panels, 20" x 41" in this example, cost is $505 each.

We have several Infrared panel sizes to meet your every need. They range in wattages from 150 watts up to 1100 watts. As well as several voltages; 120v, 208v, 240v, 277v. Standard options are 120v & 240, others are custom orders. Cords are 5 ft with plug ends, longer cords or conduit cords with whips can be special ordered. The new High Intensity 24" x 48" 1100 watt panels are currently not available.
